PEER-LED.

HOPE-CENTERED.

ROOTED IN COMMUNITY.

About Us

Connections Peer Support in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, was founded in 1993 and is uniquely run by and for people with lived experience of mental health challenges—because we’ve been there ourselves, and we believe in the power of shared experience. We offer a stigma-free environment where judgment and the limitations of clinical labels give way to acceptance, encouragement, and genuine human connection.

OUR MISSION

It is the mission of Connections Peer Support to empower our members as they move toward a sustainable and self-determined recovery by encouraging them to embrace the growth that can come with support, resources and connections to peers.

We envision a future where peer support is the standard of care, access is free of barriers, stigma is eradicated and all individuals feel seen, heard, and valued on their journey toward recovery.
